Every cookie this site sets, what it does, how long it lasts, and why no consent banner is needed.

This site sets a small number of cookies, all of which are strictly necessary to make the shop work. There are no advertising, analytics or social-media cookies, and nothing on this site tracks you across other websites.
Why there is no cookie banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary for a service you have requested. Every cookie listed below is strictly necessary — it exists to keep your bag, to keep you signed in, or to protect the form you are submitting. So there is nothing here to ask consent for, and we would rather not put a pointless banner in front of you.
If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, a proper consent mechanism will appear at the same time, with a genuine reject option, and this page will list it.

“Session” means the cookie is deleted when you close the browser.
Cookies set during payment
When card payment goes live, our payment provider will set its own cookies on its hosted payment fields, for fraud prevention and to keep the payment session secure. Those are strictly necessary to the payment you have asked to make. Their names and lifetimes are documented in that provider’s own cookie notice, and this page will link to it when the payment method goes live.
Local storage
The site does not use browser local storage or session storage to profile you. Nothing is written there for advertising purposes.
Controlling cookies yourself
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this, and lets you clear what is already stored. Be aware that blocking the cookies above will stop the basket and checkout working, because they are what carries your order from one page to the next.
